Every device in our studio, including Venus Viva fractional RF and our microchanneling pens, was chosen specifically because it's clinically approved as safe for Fitzpatrick I–VI. That is not the case with every advanced device on the market, which is why "safe for skin of color" is the first filter we apply before we bring any technology into the studio.
Discomfort is mild and managed, most clients describe it as warmth or a light pressure, and we apply numbing when needed. Downtime varies: liquid microneedling gives 2–3 days of mild flaking, microchanneling with exosomes leaves a rosy glow for about 24 hours, and Venus Viva may leave the skin pink and sensitive for 2–4 days. All are compatible with going back to your normal life quickly.
It depends on your goal. Uneven texture and glow → Liquid Microneedling. Acne scars, fine lines or overall regeneration → Microchanneling with Exosomas. Deep pigmentation, laxity or serious scarring → Venus Viva RF. If you're not sure, a 15-minute Skin Consultation ($49, credited toward your first service) is the fastest way to know. We'd rather match you right the first time than sell you the wrong protocol.
Advanced work is a series, not a single visit. You'll notice glow and tightening after the first session, but real change, scars fading, textural remodeling, firmness, builds over 3–6 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart. We'll design a realistic timeline (and honest budget) at your consultation.
Not necessarily, but your skin should be in a stable, non-inflamed state before we resurface at this level. If you have active acne, unmanaged breakouts, or highly reactive skin, we may recommend a facial or peel series first to prep. It's not a delay tactic; it's what protects your results and your tone.
